Patrick is a seasoned enrollment management leader with over 17 years of experience. He's a tech-savvy pro who excels at implementing new systems, crafting strategic plans, transforming student services, and driving enrollment.
Patrick's impressive career journey started at the University of Maryland Global Campus, where he served for 11 years and held various functional and technical positions, including Senior Associate Registrar. During this time, he was instrumental in launching initiatives for electronic content management, electronic transcripts, and business process workflows.
In 2017, Patrick moved on to become the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management at Harford Community College. He supervised the Admissions, Registration and Records, Financial Aid, Veteran’s Certification, and Test Center functions and was in charge of the college's strategic enrollment management. With Patrick at the helm, the college launched a new enrollment management model and a strategic enrollment management plan that focused on student retention and recruitment efforts. He also co-chaired the implementation committee for a new strategic plan for the college.
Most recently, Patrick joined the University of Maryland Enrollment Management team as the Associate Director of Assessment and Technology. He's now in charge of the technical operations for admissions and financial aid systems.
In addition to his day job, Patrick has been active in several professional organizations. He served on the Postsecondary Electronic Standards Council (PESC) Board of Directors as the Board Treasurer from 2015 to 2017 and was the chairperson of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) Standardization of Postsecondary Electronic Educational Data Exchange (SPEEDE) Committee from 2020 to 2021.
Patrick holds a doctorate in education from Frostburg State University and is a subject matter expert in organizational change management theory. His dissertation, "Electronic Data Interchange Transcripts: Organizational Change in Maryland’s Implementation 1991 Through 2008," showcases his knowledge and passion for the field.
